Grace Van Dien, ‘Stranger Things’ Actress, Alleges Sexual Harassment By Movie Producer
The entertainment industry has put off Grace Van Dien.
Grace Van Dien, 26, the great-granddaughter of the legend Robert Mitchum, has grown up as Hollywood royalty and has treaded a similar, though the more modern, way to acting.
At 9, she became a reality TV star with her famous family. Recently we all saw her in Stranger Things. But as of now, she has been “turning down acting projects” because of the horrible experience of sexual harassment in the workplace.
In a live video, Van Dien, on the gaming streaming service Twitch, said, “The fact of the matter is, the last few projects I’ve worked on, I didn’t have the best experiences with some of the people I had to work for.”
She revealed that on a recent movie shoot, “One of the producers hired a girl he was sleeping with, and then he had her ask me to have a threesome with them. So, like, that’s my boss.”
She didn’t name the person.

Van Dien says she refused, but “I cried” and “was so upset” by the terrible workplace experience.
She said she will now focus on Twitch streaming instead of new acting roles. She streams herself playing video games, on the platform, including Fortnite and others. Van Dien has a following of over 200,000.
She wrote on Twitter, “As I get older, my work priorities are changing.” She said she’s now “waiting for the right project” with “the right people” before jumping into something new. She added, “It’s nice to feel calm.”
Van Dien is the daughter of Casper Van Dien and Carrie Mitchum. In the 2005 reality show I Married a Princess, she appeared as a baby with her father and Catherine Oxenberg, her then-stepmother. Later in 2014’s Sleeping Beauty, she appeared with her dad and Oxenberg and played several minor roles in TV shows and films.
In 2017, she got a starring role in Netflix’s tween drama Greenhouse Academy until 2019; she was a part of it. She also appeared on NBC’s The Village the same year. In the 2018 film Charlie Says, she played the role of Sharon Tate. Since 2020, Van Dien has produced 7 movies, primarily self-sustaining ones.
